I'm having my second period this month and I want to kill myself

I'm a runner too, and had this happen right after a marathon. I figured it was the stress of the exertion.

Right there with you! And this has been going on for about a year on and off. I have thyroid disease so my gyn thought it may be the cause, but my functions are normal now so she orderd a transvaginal ultrsounds. I am also having some bleeding in between my periods. UGH! I am also 44 and am wondering if it could be peri-menopausal.

very similar
perimenopausal

I just finished my second period this month, too. very inconvenient and even more depressing

Anonymous wrote:It happened to me about 4-5 months ago (a 13-day cycle). I'm 41. Ever since, my cycles have been shorter than normal (21-24 days instead of 28-32) and my periods haven't been as long (1-4 days instead of 5-7). I was surprised how suddenly things changed. I'm guessing perimenopause. My ob/gyn just told me that things get a bit irregular towards the end of your menstruating life, just like they were a bit irregular at the start.

Have ordered a book on-line so I can understand it all a bit better!

perimenopause. happened to me too. if you get it every two weeks though you should check with your gyn. irregular bleeding can be a sign of other things too.

I'm 25 and experience this several times a year. No idea why!

I'm 43, and this started happening for me, too, in January. I also just felt more hormonal-- i.e more intense PMS, feeling hormonal around ovulation time, skin breakouts, etc. I figured it was perimenopause and commented to DH that I felt like it was the hormonal equivalent of the fireworks finale on the 4th of July.

Oh, yeah. Then I got pregnant in August!

get a pap smear. frequent periods can be a sign of early stage cervical cancer.
