OP - Are you asking about App strategy or is your kid in college already and now they are lost?

This. My kid is one his second year in College. He did pretty well in Accounting, Business Law and other similar electives in high school.
However, he's not liking the heavy aspects of math required for the College of Business and unless he has the GPA required he might not get into the program.

He did ok in Math in HS (Pre-Calc) but hated it, so I think he's having setbacks to high school math and freaking out.

He attends a College where most guys are either Engineering, Comp. Science, Finance and Accounting declared and some Sports Management.

He's doing the research but none of those paths above are calling him... He says, he doesn't have a clue what other guys major in the real world.
He's excellent at Writing, Public Speaking, negotiating (and God knows Persuading).

My husband is a programming/Software Engineer but that was never his interest either.

Just looking for ideas what guys are majoring these days besides the majors mentioned above...

Why are you and your son so concerned about what other *guys* are doing? Why not just ask, what majors/jobs should my kid consider who likes X Y and Z and doesn’t like A B and C?

are you attempting to imply something about XX and XY chromosomes ?

You should really do some warmup stretches before leaping to unfounded conclusions.

I think philosophy with an economics minor might work here. It's definitely rigorous. Would probably lead to strong scores in both the LSAT and GRE if interested in grad school.

Based on his strengths he sounds like he'd make a good lawyer; or maybe advertising or marketing. If he's interested in becoming a lawyer, he can major in anything in undergrad, maybe history or political science, but also philosophy, comparative literature, psychology . . .
