OP here, and heck yea they are. I work in an industry that attracts quants and we have a lot of people who are probably somewhere on the spectrum. Many are awkward, anxious, etc. Almost none of them are downright rude. I'm taking the W here. I hope she's happier, too. |
| I'd like to see the "brat's" side of things before I pick sides. OP could very well be an annoying middle aged woman who put the early career new hire on edge. |
Overly friendly to her face and calling her names behind her back. I'll just call OP a B straight out. |
| Calling someone a brat and a snot is really juvenile behavior. |
| I feel you OP. I’m currently killing someone at work with kindness and they are clearly thrown for a loop. Today they actually had a civil, professional conversation with me. I’m finding many people need to be socialized as if they’ve never interacted with humans before. |
| Grow up. You sound like a toddler. |
| Good for you. These days I’ll take any win for the common worker. |
| Has her behavior actually changed or is she just treating you differently? If it's just you, you haven't really trained her. |
| This is one of those "I don't think about you at all" moments. Why are you trying to win over someone in a different branch of the org chart and way junior to you. "I don't think about you at all" |
