I prefer warm boots.

I like ones from Uggs, honestly they are so comfortable.

Also when being more fashionable, I do like my mid level boots from M. Gemi.

That looks good on no one. Its hard to find shoes b/c they all look so clunky and bad with those kids of jeans.

I wear a version of this in brown without the buckles from last season. So comfy and they look good with boot cut/wider jeans.

This is why I'm telling you, slim ankle booties is where it's at. They may or may not be hard to find, I'm loyal to my venerable pair that I get periodically repaired
