Yes, it looks like it’s either a scenario where he doesn’t like the current talent or wants to bring in more money.

He is scouting out current talent in the area. He is thinking of creating his own club with recruits from his brand

Good luck getting field permits with no rec league.

All clubs have annual tryouts, that part is normal. I would seek more information, will this be a tournament only club or will all teams participate in a league? You can easily have two team levels or just have two teams with split talent. What can happen with adding additional teams is that the coaching get diluted and spread out, especially for tournament weekends. A lot of, pop-up clubs, have these growing pains. Since this is a for profit, training will be limited and packed. Then, for weekend games, you will have a rotating cast of coaches. They have very few qualified coaches at this point.

I’ve spoken with the director, and he said they ran tryouts to give everyone an opportunity. Trust me, if they wanted more players, they would accept more players. If they were only after your money, they would require all players to join their futsal program — but they don’t. There are plenty of parents on the other side whose kids don’t get into these environments or programs. Their futsal program is solid. I know people who applied to the ID night and didn’t even get in. Almost all of their sessions are booked, and it’s hard to get into these environments if you’re not already a “top” pre–MLS Next, GA, or ECNL player.

False . I’ve spoken with coaches at F8 they don’t plan on starting a club.

So no one has gotten an invitation yet?

He literally asked on Instagram who was interested in signing their kid up for a new team, u9-u15 I think was the age range.

Agree with pp, he will be lucky to get permits in Fairfax for unlit grass fields, with no rec org.

He has connections and will be able to get the field space. There is no way he would attempt to put a club together if he doesn't think he will get space.

It's a money grab. He's got a good handle on kids from multiple local clubs that he plays together to win tournaments and use as PR. He's just trying to bring in new clients and seem more exclusive when he has very little to do with any of those players' actual development. Recruiting talent is not the same as developing talent yourself.

His bigger issue is finding quality coaches for all the teams.

Its not about "connections". The County has strict guidelines when it comes to issuing space and all the turf is spoken for by the big youth clubs already. He might get some sad unlit muddy grass fields in Clifton or Great Falls.

I bet your kid is on his social media twice a week.
