It’s totally a violation but teachers have no choice when schools are overflowing. We get windowless rooms and no a/c. Add in some humidity issues, rodents, mold, etc and now you know why nobody wants to teach.

I get what you're saying. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. This is so unsafe. I would be reporting this to the fire department, the BOD, and if I were a parent of one of your students, I'd be raising hell. This is simply unacceptable.

You cannot ignore safety issues though. Comfort issues are one thing, safety issues, on the other hand, are not acceptable.
