It takes time for newly out LGBT people to relearn that they can't use themselves as an example of the average person. Most people are straight. Unfortunately.

I know that lesbians have kids but it is not as common as it is with heterosexual couples.

OP if you’re coming off a divorce, I implore you start with therapy before getting sexually or romantically involved with women. You’ve got some healing to do and adding a same-sex relationship to the mix before exploring your feelings could send you in the wrong direction.
