Journalism is a tough and stressful profession. Journalists keep getting pay cuts. There was an interesting discussion about this in the book on Epstein by the Miami Herald’s reporter who did the Epstein series.

Mike Jakitis - colon cancer
Neal Augenstein - lung cancer
Jeff Clabaugh - cancer
Wendy Rieger - brain cancer (she was at WTOP before WRC-TV)
and those are just the on-air talent that have been made public
