His last report was Tuesday. I thought he didn’t sound well, but I didn’t know he had been sick with cancer for the last year. So sad.

| That's sad. I feel like I grew up with him, from spending many long hours commuting to school and practices |
| I feel like a lot of people who work at WTOP die young for some reason. |
| Dmitri Tsotis was only 55 and not ill. That was last month. |
| WTOP is the best DMV news source. |
| Does working in radio broadcasting expose you to more cancer risk? |
Same. He had such a great voice for radio. I will miss his reporting. |
I don’t know but the 24 hour news schedules are rough. |
|
The other business guy, Tucker Echols, also passed away from cancer a few years ago.
|
He died in January. |
| And the other guy is fighting lung cancer |
| It's possible there was a lot of smoking in newsrooms back in the day. |
| RIP, Jeff! I'll miss your voice on WTOP. Sounds like you lived life to the fullest and cared for those around you. Peace to all. |
He really did. |
|
Oh no! This is so very sad, so young. RIP. |
