Don't laugh, but I buy men's socks from Target. I hate that most women's socks won't stay up, so I get men's knee socks. I'll buy a bunch at a time so I don't have to match, as others above suggest.
Love Little Miss Matched too! |
I did this from my son. All Old Navy white socks. He got a hand me down pair of red socks and just LOVED them. Clearly he was not into the whole "all white" thing. So this year I caved and bought colors (especially since he can turn a pair of white socks into brown in one wearing) |

I went through a period of trying out new socks last year when I struggled to find a comfortable pair (mostly to wear under jeans, in mid-calf boots). The winner was ....
Umberto Raffini bamboo socks. I got them from The Walking Company. Looks like the colors have changed a little this year, but I think these are basically the same: http://www.thewalkingcompany.com/umberto-raffini-womens-bamboo-rib-crew-black/10209 |
| REALLY? This is the question you have for DC Moms and Dads? How old are you? Maybe you should call your mommy! |
| I get mine from the Bass outlet (Leesburg, Hagerstown, etc). They're thin but not as thin as trouser socks. They stay up and have gentle ribbing and a lot of colors. They usually cost 3/$10. |

Really? Do you need to get laid? You sound incredibly tense and obnoxious. Those Walking Company socks look great! |
I alwats buy men's socks because they last about 5 times longer than women's socks. For winter, I go to the men's department of Nordstroms and buy men's cashmere knee socks and they hasve lasted me over five years. |
