I need some new socks.
I used to love NY&Co socks, but I haven't seen them lately. I've tried other brands, but they're too thick, or not stretchy enough. Not trouser socks. But, socks to wear with jeans/sneakers. Where do you get yours? |
| Tj Maxx or Ross. I like that they have so many brands to choose from and less than Target charges. |
|
I get mine at roadrunnersports.com. Mostly I use them for running, but will also wear them with yoga pants and sneakers. I don't wear them with jeans, though.
CVS or Harris Teeter for trouser socks. |
|
Costco. They usually have relatively thin ankle socks in packs of all black, all white, or a mix of bright colors.
I'd like to find a reliable source for good-quality trouser socks, as that's what I wear all winter. |
| Kohl's Sonoma line of socks are good. |
|
My MIL gives me socks that she sells at a flea market. They are (obviously) cheap, and probably tainted with lead, but they are comfortable.

with sneakers I wear Nike low-rise socks. Really good elastic, so they fit snugly on my narrow feet. Store brands just don't work for me.
With winter shoes, ankle boots, boots, etc, I wear Gold Toe (from Nordstrom's maybe?) or SmartWool (Athleta, Title 9, REI...). Gold Toe has a line of socks at Target, but they are too saggy for me. Hue also makes good trouser socks that you can get at most department stores. I used to get socks at the Gap, but haven't for quite a while. |
| Syms (at Seven Corners) has a huge selection of sports, casual, and trouser socks. I load up every few years. I also like the little ankle socks from Costco. |
| For athletic socks, I recently found some nike ones that have been great for running. they have just enough cuff so they don't slide down. For trouser socks, I usually end up buying stuff near the register at DSW when I buy shoes. |

OP here -
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not really looking for athletic socks. I have a bunch of those. More like those thin, comfy socks you find sometimes. I'll check out some of these suggestions. |

I read a suggestion that you should buy all the same kind of socks so you don't have to worry about matching them.
I like the idea, but haven't implemented! |
REI or HTO Tenleytown. Smart Wool. Colorful. Sweat-wicking. A little butch-fem. You know, as you do, sometimes. $$$15-18. Extremely durable. |

I get mine from Little MissMatched.....
I don't own even one pair of solid colored socks! |
I do this for DS! He only has white socks and all from Children's Place. Works great for matching those annoying toddler size socks. Haven't done it for myself yet though. |
| I just got good cute socks from Old Navy yesterday. Cheap, too! |
