| So then wear tights. I was saying if it's November at 70 degrees you still shouldn't be bare legged because it's November- wear some pantyhose. |
I think people of any age can go bare legged if what they are wearing is an appropriate length! |
I disagree. If it's 70 degrees then you can definitely go bare legged no matter what month it is. I hate hose and won't wear it unless absolutely necessary. |
Actually they do. It's not like wearing fleecy sweatpants, but even sheer hose are WAAAAYYY warmer than bare legs. Bare legs in cold weather look ridiculous. If you are so against hose, wear pants. |
| I don't have nice looking legs. I just don't. So even though I don't enjoy the feel of pantyhose, I do very much appreciate the additional support, firming and even skintone that they provide. I for one can't wait for it to be cool enough to start wearing them again. |
| I haven't worn hose in over 15 years, and even then it was rare. Bare legs in summer - even at the most professional functions. I only wear skirt suits in summer - in winter I wear pant suits. I wear skirts and dresses in winter that look good with tights and boots. I do go bare-legged in winter if I am "going out" in the evening -- I am willing to suffer a bit in the name of vanity. |

Funny, I was just thinking that it must be about time for the anti-hose fashion to reverse. In fact, didn't I see fall dresses with sheer hose on the Banana Republic website the other day ... ?
Personally, I hope they come back in fashion! I hate my legs. |
| I've heard pantyhose are making a comeback, ladies. They just call them "sheer tights" now. It all makes sense with the retro 50s glam that's all the rage this season. |
| Why are tights (which I associate with the elementary school crowd) "better" than hose? I'm being serious. I hate them both and only ever wear pants, so it's a non-issue for me personally, but I don't get the whole "pantyhose is the devil" thing. |
| As for the sweaty feet issue, I really don't think hose help that much, anyway. The only thing I've found that does help is to put fabric inserts full of cedar shavings in my shoes when I take them off and rotate them so you don't wear them more than once a week. |
