Message in a bottle sent by student in 1976 found

Seriously doubt it lasted that long with a cork in it exposed to the sun and salt water for decades. It would have rotted and water gotten in it.

Checked video. Metal screwcap lid. Didn't look corroded at all. Doubt unless it was buried in a dry spot at a beach.

The metal screwcap does show age, and they weren't able to get it off the bottle. They had to break the bottom to get the note out.
