Hi OP, I recommend posting about GLP-1s on the appropriate Reddit forum. The people on DCUM are not helpful because the vast majority of people who answer are not going through the same thing as you. And a lot of them have some weird hatred towards people using GLP-1s.
To the people asking dumb questions - my doctor has an Inbody machine and while it's not the best and most accurate thing out there, it does show changes over time, including fat loss vs. muscle loss. That is probably how OP knows. Not because she noticed her arms are flabby ![]() To OP - I am also working with a dietician who has advised me to make sure I eat a LOT of protein, but especially that I eat protein immediately after I lift weights or exercise. Hope this helps, now head on over to Reddit for real advice from people who aren't being nasty while hiding behind their anonymity on a mommy forum. |
I did tirepezide and didn’t lose muscle but I’m doing crossfit or run every day. |
I have no idea why you are rolling your eyes. I track body fat % using dexa and progress pictures are hugely helpful. You don't need these machines to tell your body composition has changed. It's visible to the eye |
Are you the OP or the lady with the flabby arms? Because I was rolling my eyes at this: "I could flatter myself and say I lost muscle in my arms but I didn't." which was kind of a nasty shot at OP, but if your'e OP, screw you, I was trying help. |
Lifting 20 minutes every other day is not going to do much unless you are progressively overloading. |
At least op is thin. |
Nice misogyny here. |
Duh. Thats like one of the most known features of the drug. You need to double your protein and lift heavier to combat the muscle loss. Nobody ever said it was a miracle drug with no potential negative side effects. |
Oh screw you. You are the exact type of person I'm talking about. |
People on this site deny it, but it is basically impossible not to lose muscle when you’re in a calorie deficit. |
This is true, but the amount of muscle:fat varies based on what you are eating/doing. |
Are you hangry? |
+1. Stop worrying about it and focus on getting to your goal weight |
