+1. And/or Nordstrom. Trousseau is great, but they don't sell Wacoal, and as a busty lady - 34G - Wacoal is my go to brand.

+1 34DDD and Chantelle minimizer is the only one I'll wear.

Chantelle are my go to. Stores like Bloomingdale’s typically have a good selection and definitely worth having a fitter help you.

This. Trosseau has so many brands and styles that will fit you properly (30DDD here).

A 3rd vote for Trousseau in Vienna. I'm a 38G and have gone there for years to find the right bra. What I learned is that you have to be properly measured and to try on a lot of different bras to find what works for you. I also learned that bras fit differently across brands and even within a brand even if you know your correct bra size. Again, you have to try on a LOT of bras IN PERSON to get the best fit. Once I identify a few bras that work for me, I buy them in the store and then get extras through eBay at a significantly lower price.

I wear a 34D and, like you, OP, I'm short with an hourglass figure. I love Natori bras; if you need a halter bra, Wacoal makes a good one. I also recommend Trousseau -- it's a trek for me from Chevy Chase, but they offer excellent fittings and so many options. There's also a salesperson at Nordstrom in Bethesda, Trina, who's very good, but very busy.

This. You have big ones. You need a real fitting. Welcome to the club.

If you are busty it's unlikely you're a D cup . . . that's only a four inch difference in diameter between your ribcage and the fullest part of your bust. I have little perky ladies and I'm a C or a D. https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator.php You are probably wearing a bigger band size to accommodate the breast tissue that doesn't fit in the cup.

Not true at all.

I just got these in that size and they are great. Not fancy but supportive and super comfortable. There are some I like off Amazon but they keep changing them and the support isn't great. I've tried many.

The way to check if you are in the correct band size is to try the bra on upside down and backwards, like a cape. It should feel tight enough to stay in place but not uncomfortable. If it feels good this way but tight when you try on the bra, it means the cups are too small. If it fastens on the tightest setting this way but still doesn't feel particularly snug, that means your band is too bug and your cups are too small.

Adults can pick their own bra size and don't need a lecture. I know size.
