A curious one that doesn’t have as much common sense as I thought they had.

I still don’t know why they did it, but I suspect YouTube. You can judge me for that too. I was appalled. That’s sad. I think we’ve all done things so we’re not the smartest when we were kids. Thankfully, she didn’t get hurt and nothing suffered, minus my phone.

What do you mean, you still don’t know, didn’t you ask them? They refused to answer you? This whole scenario is bizarre at best.

It’s ok! Was on there 2 seconds before her two brain cells rubbed together.

You might have a budding scientist on your hands.

Nah, just a brainless social media follower who just lost her phone privileges.

The two are not incompatible when young. If she's that curious... the scientist will emerge from the social media follower chrysalis.

Will check out AppleCare that’s a good suggestion.

Doesn't explain how utterly unsafe this stupid stunt was.

Who puts a phone in a microwave?
What in the world were they trying to do?

No phone for them til they are 18 they are too stupid to have one.

of course I asked them… They were too upset and felt badly. They couldn’t answer. I was mostly happy they didn’t get hurt. I picked helping them feel better rather than ravaging them for answers in the moment. We both agreed no more microwave for anything at all. Unprompted.

It’s totally bizarre. Who thinks this is going to happen?!

Cool.

Do you know if the Bluetooth is fixable?

This is honestly hilarious. Be glad that the battery didn't explode.

If you're lucky, the fault is with the antenna, but, more likely, you need a new motherboard. I don't know if Bluetooth antennae are part of the motherboards. But, yeah, you're looking at a nontrivial repair cost.
