You can't force force someone to suddenly have a servitude mindset. Both my parents are retired police officers. I would rather flig burgers than be a cop just not my thing.

My son graduated in May with a data science job (applied math major). My nephew graduates in December and has a project manager job lined up (business major, project management concentration). Both got a lot of experience in school, internships, and related industry certifications. DS's job came from the prior summer's internship and I helped my nephew with an introduction to the CEO at the place he'll be working.

It is tough out there. Most of DS's friends are still job hunting, some working jobs that don't require a degree while looking for jobs in their fields.

Why don’t you quit your current job and do it first? Free up some space for other people.
