Class size for 1st grade?

Not that poster but I know that at our LI ES the LI 1st grade class was packed and the regular classes had 16-18 students in them. The LI numbers decreased over the years, I think my kids class had 28 when they finished 6th grade, while the regular classes inccreased in size. LI was always larger than the regular class. Kids new to the school joined the regular class but kids moved to the center for AAP or moved out of the area so there was not a huge increase. |
