Canned pumpkin in stores

Do you mean they typically have it or you have seen it with your own eyes in the past week?

I just put it in my cart and watched my order get fulfilled. I'll pick it up on my way home.

Libbys, nothing out of the ordinary.

Fresh and canned don't really go together.

Got some at Wegmans and giant last week. It’s in the baking aisle by the evaporated milk. I buy it year round.

I can my own pumpkin that we grow in our garden. That way I know exactly what is in it and the produce tastes superior canned in glass vs those mystery metal cans.

You just had to post even though this isn’t the question at all. Also the only ingredient in canned pumpkin is…pumpkin.

I asked at Safeway way why they didn’t have any, and she looked at me straight in the face and said “we’ve had enough with murdering pumpkins”.

I've done the same and... it's exactly the same, maybe a bit inferior to the store brought product (I don't have an industrial food processor to get it super smooth).

Growing your own pumpkin can be a kind if fun project (though protecting them from the animals is a challenge and a half). But as far as being worth the effort to roast and puree, nah, not really.
