Ha ha this is funny to me because I’m a true crime addict and nearly every episode I watched today was a nerdy science type professional having an affair and killing spouse to save divorce costs and/or win custody.

It’s actually not that easy for men to cheat even when they are very good looking and even if they travel frequently for work. It is very easy for women.

All of the cheaters I have known in my life were "nerdy and calm intellectuals."

Everyone has a mask, but some people have a mask that truly hides what they are.

It is SO easy to cheat right now. You could get on reddit, give your general location and what you are looking for, and find a partner in no time. You could use telegram or whatever app to communicate and your spouse would never know. If you are determined, you could hide it indefinitely. There is no way to know how many people have cheated.

Sigh. No. I know there's this rhetoric on DCUM that men cheat if given the opportunity. But honestly, I don't buy it. What you describe isn't actually easy when you have a family life and set hours. And there's always a risk of STDs. It's just not worth it.

I'm not giving you a moral rebuttal here. I'm just saying - to most people, cheating is a hassle.

Any relationship is a hassle. But to the type of person who wants to step outside their marriage, the hassle is worth it. You, a person who is probably healthy and prioritizing your family, see this as a hassle. But for someone bored, unhappy, or sociopathic? It's an adventure, not a hassle.

55 here. There’s been a rash of divorces/separations this year and last if friends that had been married 20, 25+ years…midlife crises abounding…3 in my neighborhood, childhood best friend and my European friend. These are marriages that were happy, really compatible family people. It’s jarring and very sad. Cheating in all of them.

I think the fact we are pre-online dating and a lot are taking advantage of it now. So much cheating - both sexes…but several men leaving their wives right at empty nest time

I would say 99% of men, IF given the hot opportunity to be w/a women more beautiful than their current one (and even not!) would definitely jump at the chance in a heartbeat IF it was guaranteed that they would, could completely get away w/it! 💋

I am guessing about the same number as women. Cheating is not hard for everyone who travels for business, goes to conferences, etc. Horny, emotionally neglected, disrespected, angry, sex starved people have opportunities to cheat. Some do.
