Not even the worse in Fairfax County. McNair Upper’s is worse and Cub Run’s is also worse. |

Is Hayfield principal replacing someone or are we getting a new "executive position?"
Also, anyone who signs his name with "Dr" instead of his given name is: fill in the blank |
| And the school board and admin wonder why parents don't trust them. |
Maybe the same kind of professional who mass-emails unnecessary details, such that "I have applied for, interviewed for, and have accepted the position of Senior Administrator of Nontraditional School Programs." |
He’s wanting to say he wasn’t removed and his choice to go, but as soon as he writes Gatehouse, no one thinks it’s anything other than the promotion exit once again. |
Nah, they'd just fire competant people who are easy to fire. You need someone to carry out the spirit of DOGE, not the actual reality. |
PP here. Of course. My point is simply that this would be the best way to hold them accountable. In my dream world the local Fairfax County parties decide to do what's best for the children and actual endorse sane human beings for school board...but I know that's even more of a pipe dream than Fairfax County voters doing anything but voting for whoever shows up on the blue sample ballot. |
If you read the OP, the principal mentioned a "predecessor." But it's a totally fair question. One of my kids' principals went on to a newly created (unnecessary) executive position - although in her case she didn't fail up, she was genuinely good at her job. |

The second “have” in that sentence is unnecessary and a grammatical error. Why are we promoting people who can’t write to senior positions in Gatehouse? |
| This is absolutely NOT a promotion. Anyone who thinks this is a promotion is greatly misinformed. |
It's not getting fired, which is what should have happened. |
Yeah, this is a demotion. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have been fired. But anyone who is saying this is a promotion is wrong. Anyone can look up the job descriptions. The position he is taking is on the unified salary schedule C, grade 5. The highest step is 20 with a pay of $202K. A secondary high school principal is on the school-based administrator scale. The highest step is 20 with a pay of $226K. |
| he should have been fired and have $0 salary |
