Recommend your glass food storage containers with lids that don't fall apart after a few years

We’re on our second or third set and stopped washing the lids in the dishwasher after the first — the plastic becomes brittle, so the lids don’t fit snugly anymore and eventually crack.

I just buy new lids for Pyrex. We've tried Snapware, but the "wings" can also crack and sometimes are really hard to close. Replacing lids has worked for us, and I overall like the Pyrex containers.

I bought a nice set of glass containers and I've already broken three of them -- they break whenever they're dropped (OK, I shouldn't be dropping them but I have a set from Ikea that I've had for about 15 years and they've never broken....). Things aren't built to last anymore and there's no point in recommending anything because things are made so much more cheaply now. Sigh.

Pyrex brand is great. I would not buy a generic Amazon brand containers. You can buy Pyrex-branded replacement lids on Amazon (or from Pyrex directly). But I might take PP's recommendation to buy Sophico in the future.

Lock and lock. I’ve had mine for 10 years and still going strong.

I think I have these. Love them. From Costco. Glass… think the pack was 7 containers/lids. Probably going on 4-5 years.

I use the Better Homes & Garden glass containers with lids.

Easily found at Walmart.

I've just given up....

Another enthusiastic vote for the Sophico silicone lids! I’m slowly replacing all the plastic lids with these - they are indestructible.

+1 Rubbermaid brilliance. The glass parts are heavy, but that’s okay.

IKEA 365 glass containers with the lid of your choice. Our plastic snap-on ones have lasted 5+ years so far. You can also get bamboo lids (though not dishwasher safe).

Mason jars, as much as possible. They are still made well, they're inexpensive, and they have a smaller footprint in the fridge. They may not be best for all types of leftovers, but they are great for storing cut-up fruit, carrot sticks, etc. If I can cram something into a mason jar, that is what I use.

I like the Caraway pans, but really don't like the food storage. Can't go in the dishwasher and the lids are tough to get off. I use mine, but won't be sad when they reach the end of their lifespan.

I also have glass with bamboo lids.

I like this too, for many things...

The lids will always fall apart. If it's a round dish, you can buy replacement lids on Amazon. I bought some silicone replacement lids that I like a lot. It takes a tad more work to snap them on, but they last way longer than the plastic lids.
