My Pyrex bowl lids have all cracked.
I don't put the containers in the oven or microwave, but they must be dishwasher safe. Any recommendations for glass storage containers w/ lids that stand up to the test of time? |
| I just bought new covers right on Amazon. $10 for a three pack. Never occurred to me that I could do that! |
. Same. Seems nuts to buy new containers, OP, when you can just replace the lids. |
| If you are buying replacement lids for Pyrex, the Sophico silicone ones are a little sturdier and they fit really well. |
| I do the same. Love my pyrex and just buy new lids from amazon |
| Everything on Amazon is hit or miss. I bought a nice set of glass containers and I've already broken three of them -- they break whenever they're dropped (OK, I shouldn't be dropping them but I have a set from Ikea that I've had for about 15 years and they've never broken....). Things aren't built to last anymore and there's no point in recommending anything because things are made so much more cheaply now. Sigh. |
NP and I am regularly buying new lids for Pyrex. Thanks for this tip. |
| I get the snapware set they sell at Costco and so far it’s worked well. |
| Rubbermaid Brilliance. Sturdy and the lids have the microwave ears. |
| We buy the silicone+glass lids from Pyrex for our Pyrex online when they are in stock. They have lasted for many years now. |
| Mine are fine. They are like 15 years old and go in the dishwasher daily. What are you doing to yours? |
Same. I’ve had mine 7-8 years, i put the lids in the dishwasher and they’re going strong. They’re great. |

Snapware replaced our lids for free. We just needed proof of purchase and pictures of the broken lids.
Don't know if they are stll doing this, though. It was a year or so ago |

You can buy replacement lids from Pyrex's online store They are not expensive and you can buy 1 or 2 without having to buy a slew of them from Amazon. I have ordered Snapware and regular replacements. Just measure your glassware to make sure you order the right size.
They don't last forever but the lids are only like $5.00 apiece. |
