Washington DC and National Guard

He reports that people, especially students and even a woman with a baby in a stroller, feel safe to walk at ten o'clock at night on H Street. There is also no more stealing of wheels and rims, which he saw right around the corner from him three weeks ago. He now goes out at night to shop or go to bars. People who live on the Hill are thrilled.

I live close to H street and haven't seen any national guard. Illegal pot shops still going strong, no change at all from what I see.

That's why I strongly believe that all of these people who are feeling safer are nowhere near DC.

It’s always obvious when people are making shit up.

I have lived on the Hill for 20+ years and have never been afraid to go out and do anything and I’m in my 50s.

Is your DC a “conservative guy/girl afraid of everything”? Spirit Halloween has a costume for that now.

They were in the metro stations I went to today. Not sure what value added it provides to put multiple National guard members in high traffic low crime downtown stations like DuPont, Farragut North and Metro center but if Trump wants to spend our tax dollars this way, I guess we’re stuck.

I don't see any issues with the Mall. On the other hand, I am not allowing my new driver to drive in this situation.

Is he really that afraid? That's pretty embarrassing. I don't think city living is for him.

I haven't noticed a single difference downtown. I wouldn’t factor this in to your decision to go or not go.

just tell them not to break any laws and they will be fine.

They aren’t. They’re MAGAs from some red state who are making up stories just like their leader.

So Trumpo is getting a 3rd term? That should be fun to watch from the sidelines.

Hitler was a devout socialist and extreme leftist. The only people further left than the facist form of socialists were the complete communists. Trump seems more moderate, with some socialist tendencies like overspending that many people don't like.
