Good job not mentioning FCV and Bethesda. Two starters from FCV/St. James. |
| Parents think just because other players are getting P4 minutes then their DD will too because they played at the same club?! Silly, gullible parents. |
Not freshman...definitely not from the dmv. |
Mya Townes (FCV/StJ) started and played 78 mins for UGA vs UCLA. |
Exceptional athlete, very humble family. She benefited a lot from TSJ when they had the best coaching before it fell apart like a soup sandwich. Hope she earns a Senior Women's National Team call up in the future. |
People don’t realize just how rare players like this are around here. We’re talking about the 1%. And not just 1% of all the area soccer players, but the 1% of the girls already playing ECNL/GA level. Unless your DD is in the top 1% of all ECNL/GA players, state/national level players of the year, dominating at every level, she will not be doing this. |
| You can still play college soccer and even D1 simmer down drama dad but P4 yes would be difficult |
P4 is the dream. Anything less would be a huge disappointment. |
| P4 has 3 different levels just like every other grouping. JMU (highest level Non P4) just beat NC State (ACC bottom level) 3-0 |
| What? I thought nobody from the DMV could play D1, all the coaches stink, they all play kickball, etc.. you mean that was wrong? |
Lol. Annoying troll. |
| FSU played 21 players in the first half of their exhibition. Everyone is getting playing time before the season. |
I do not disagree but it is still true that a good number of local women started or got pretty good minutes for top D1 teams this weekend. It is rare but it in fact happens to at least a few on a regular basis. |
I watched a number of DMV girls playing for P4 schools yesterday while streaming games, some freshman and sophomore's getting quality minutes for ranked teams. Reading this thread makes you think people are rooting against them. Tough crowd. |
