We don't go to CVS often, but when we do, we always get a 40% off coupon with a short expiration date.

I told my husband next time we need something quick from CVS and it's over $20, we should buy a pack of gum first and see if we get a 40% coupon, then turn around and buy the more expensive item.

A friend is considering dropping her Sam's membership and instead buying all her paper towels at CVS for 40% off. Although I wouldn't be surprised if CVS would still cost more.

Or did opening a store on every street corner effect their prices? I know they make 99.99% of their money on the prescription drugs but they could be making so much more selling all the other crap in the store that takes up more square footage. They're being asinine not utilizing the rest of their stores. I'd rather run into a drug store to grab something quick then a trip to a box store.

People with a brain shop at Walmart for these items.

People with money don't live that close to Walmart. Arlington to a walmart is a hike. As far as i know there is no bethesda or McLean Walmart but you do you!

I have to drive about 15 miles to a Walmart but it's worth it for the money I save. Too bad these folks are such snobs and waste their money.

Yes. This. We have the Extracare card. When we buy something we do then get pure cash off coupons. So you have to trigger them with a purchase.

If you coupon, CVS becomes price competitive. If you don't you get gouged.
