Skidmore vs Connecticut College?

I don’t get people hating the CC location so much. I went there, and it’s so easy to get to a lot of nice places in New England. With a car we’d often to go to the beaches nearby in fall and spring, dinners in Mystic, shopping in Providence on the weekends to name a few. Even downtown New London a few hidden gem restaurants/shops. Amtrak is in new London, so it’s very easy to take the train to Boston and NYC. I also played a sport at Conn, and had a wonderful experience.

I am one of the PP also considering CC. Can anyone give input on job placement? As I mentioned in my post, I am concerned about name recognition of the school here in the DMV for getting a job after graduation.

DS is in New London, though not at CC. It was culture shock at first, but it grew on us as parents (though to be fair, we're not living there). Amtrak was a huge plus! And the beaches are better than you'd expect.
