Was going to say, at BTS time on typical school supplies both Staples and Office Depot can easily be cheaper than Wal-Mart. |
I stopped shopping there and now don't want to go back. Such a waste of money in impulse purchases, even if you aren't still mad at them for not really caring about women, minorities, LGBT, or disabled people. Staples is good. Also Costco if you are already a member. |
| In my area, the big chain grocery stores have good sales. |
| Literally got everything at Amazon or Target. Dont make this hard on yourself. |
|
Staples is easy, I did Dollar Tee for a few things, and Michael’s.
Good for you holding the line on Target. |
|
We do many things at Staples, but we always check online for coupons and such. If one gets to a minimum order size, Staples delivers at no cost.
For clothes, Children's Place or Lands End. Sneakers are usually online from "Joe's New Balance Outlet".com (no spaces). |
+1, I haven't been back and don't miss it. I don't fault anybody else (I'm still shopping on Amazon as a non-member, we all do what we need to do) but Target is the facebook of retail stores. Once you quit it you feel so much better. |
|
Good for you op.
How about cvs, riteaid, grocery stores or dollar tree for supplies. You can buy a few custom things from Etsy or michaels. |
For the basics, I found Staples to have similar prices and sales to the others for BTS. I didn’t try it, but noticed there were signs advertising price matching either print or online ads for other stores. |
|
Conglomerates like Amazon have forced small businesses to close down. It’s sad to see them go because they would usually have cute functional items not found at megastores.
I think CVS is overpriced but I don’t mind Staples. |
| I stand with OP, no Target, no Amazon, no Walmart. There's so little in life we have control of these days, if I can control where our money goes to, it makes me very satisfied |
Weird stance because your "control" has zero impact. But whatever makes you feel better. |
great for you. These companies will still make billions |
| Whatever I couldn’t get at Staples, I got at Target. Amazon is a ripoff for school supplies. |
You do you but you’re not making the impact you think you are. Have fun driving to multiple stores. |
