It’s the best option for a pit stop since the bathrooms are the cleanest you will find. If you’re stopping to use the restrooms already, it’s easy to grab coffee or a drink as well as lunch or a snack. Their prepared foods are surprisingly good and there are better options than what you’d find at a fast food restaurant.

Nobody goes there as a shopping destination. But it’s the absolute best option for a pit stop. Nothing else comes close.

Another Texan here. I loathe Bucees. I won't even stop there for the bathroom (or gas.)

This post is an example of Bucees brainwashing propaganda.

It’s the honest firsthand account of a dcumer who road-trips to FL and other southern destinations and is thrilled when there’s a buccees on the way.

If you’ve ever had to use a ladies room in a sketchy gas station in the south, then you know how amazing it is to have a clean buccees bathroom instead. They literally have staff in the bathroom cleaning between uses. And that’s why women like me choose buccees.

That is already my stop on I-81 for produce--Overlook Produce market is on the other side of I-81 from Bucees, Great bakery, just got peaches for a great price. Lots of places to sit. Anyway, I'm just going to keep going there and the Sheetz down the road for now. I'll add Bucees to my stop once the crowds die down or it's a Sunday and my Amish market is closed.

But, hey, the bathrooms were clean.

Why did you bother? You can pee outside.

You buy produce off of a freeway?!

I don't understand you people who have to pee every 30 minutes. Learn some bladder control. I've been able to hold it for 10 hours and I'm a 50 year old woman.

Yay. You win a cookie.

I was actually there two weeks ago.

Bucc-ees has earned their reputation for clean bathrooms. Worth the stop just for that. Also, the coffee is pretty decent, and there are many snacks to choose from. It's crowded, but the lines move.

Why wouldn't I stop there if I needed gas/ bathrooms?

But the bathrooms are always in working condition and very clean and that's why I will grit my teeth and stop there when I need gas on road trips.

Oh come on Texan. Y’all invented simpletons. Don’t you feel right at home?!

There are simpletons in every state, but as a rule I try to avoid the places where they congregate.

Gotcha. So no family weddings then?

That was really good PP

Before the Virginia Buc-ees opened, the closest one was 6 hours away. This destination is 2-3 hours away. How does that equate to having to stop every 30 minutes?

I live in Texas and have driven all over the state and the south my entire life and have stopped at places that range from QT/Pilot/Sheetz/Bucees to places with just one toilet in the middle of nowhere and everything in between.

While there are plenty of sketchy gas stations, there are also many places with clean bathrooms that are not Bucees. That's why women like me don't buy the Bucees hype.

Oh hooray, the anti-bathroom freak has shown up.
