| Same question re: where to stay that has a fun but classy bar |
| Pick something by the White House. Hotel Washington has a vivid bar with views at the White House and a number of iconic bars around where all lobbyists hang out |
| Willard has iconic bar. |
Thats a nice hotel, theres plenty of options Pentagon City or Crystal City. Next to your hotel could goto Matchbox for brunch on Saturday. If you like sports could goto Crystal City Sportspub. Or goto Pentagon Row for a drink/cocktail. Take cab ride upto Ballston/Clarendon you arent really that far away. BTW, i am divorce mid 40s man, and hangout in Arlington and grewup in the area. |
| I'd stay in and watch the Monica Lewinsky American Crime Story. |

Off the Record lounge at the Hay Adams.

| Pop over the bridge to the Wharf area in Southwest. Maybe you'll run into me. |
| Four Seasons bar/lounge has a great vibe as does the Waldorf Astoria. The Pendry or Intercontinental at the Wharf offers lots of great bar options also. |

Hi, OP! I stayed there once and while I agree the area is boring, the rooms were fairly nice. It's fine you are staying there.
There is a fun matchbox pizza that I think has a bar. A bit further away, there is a Jaleo in Crystal City. I just want to remind you that people in DC are...not that friendly in places like bars. And the men tend to be miserably bad at hitting on women. So don't get down if you try to go out and wind up not talking to anyone. |

Arlington here. Pentagon city mall has so much violence, robberies, fights, car jackings in parking lot—smash and grabs.
It’s a quick hop on the metro for the criminals. Google it There was also a huge mob crowd fight in the food court. I would stay in Clarendon or Rosslyn and go to DC from there if you are set on Arlington. |
| Change to the ritz in Georgetown |
That's what I would do. |
Matchbox Pizza? That's a place for the families with toddlers set. |
Smart strategy. |
