Unfortunately, you were right about it being COVID. I (OP) was able to get my hands on a test. Thankfully no razor throat (yet) so hopefully not that strain.

Why would I go see a doctor? Save that for real problems.

I just needed to know what to do about work tomorrow. Problem solved by crowdsourcing some info from helpful people here.

You know what these threads are about. Why do you always have to stop by and say nasty things? Clearly, you have nothing useful to contribute.

ohhh this is what i have been dealing with for nearly 2 weeks. ugh.

My spouse has it, tested negative for COVID but a hacking cough, congestion, exhausted, sounds like a frog. Been about a week and hoping to avoid it.

How are you treating it? What are you taking?

OP here, I was taking Dayquill but have stopped. The symptoms are thankfully not too bad. Hopefully they stay that way.

The biggest impact is energy. I'm getting tired out by relatively small things. Treating that with caffeine, as needed.

The same things that always go around. Order a same day delivery cold, flu swab and rule out.

I had something starting three weeks ago and it lasted two weeks with lingering affects now. Negative Covid test. Sore throat but not “razor” sore.

Common sense is to see a doctor if that sick.

An otherwise healthy adult doesn't need to see a doctor every time they get a respiratory virus.
