respiratory virus going around?

Anyone know what the respiratory virus is that's going around? This feels like more than a cold.

Unfortunately I don't have more of those at home COVID tests.

Yes, our two adult kids got it. Lots of coughing and junk. Lasted about two weeks.

It’s Covid. By a COVID test at the pharmacy. This recent strain is very contagious, plus it comes with “razor throat” - a brutally painful sore throat. Summer is now a high season for COVID.

We had it and over two weeks later I’m still coughing junk up. I didn’t test for Covid and the doctor didn’t recommend it based on symptoms. No fever or sore throat - just crazy congestion, coughing and exhaustion.

OP here. Thankfully no "razor throat" for me, that sounds awful. I'm trying to avoid going out if I don't need to.

I'm pretty sure it's not the flu since it doesn't feel that bad. I'm trying to figure out if I stay home from work Monday but a cold doesn't seem right for that after about five days (this started last week).

It's covid, covid shot up 34% in our area last week alone. It's a new strain that's causing a ton of issues overseas and in Asia right now.

We had all the kids get the same variation of this long form cough that starts dry and then gets wet after some time. No other real symptoms but kind of a scary sounding cough at times. Sucks this is after we battled strep all spring
