If you want family drama that is totally dysfunctional, Shameless.

Offspring (if you haven’t seen it, though it’s more of a dramedy then straight up drama)

Offspring ++++
I'd add Big Little Lies season 1.

Preference is for family dramas. I have watched Parenthood and This is Us and was thinking of something along the lines of that and We Were Liars.

The Perfect Couple (Netflix)

Thanks. Is it easy to follow? Or rather easy to get into?

Yes it’s super easy to get into and also has one of the best intro episodes of all time. The subject matter can be dark though and there is a lot of violence. But you won’t be bored or need a PhD to understand wth is going on.

Big Little Lies
Apples Never Fall

Kevin Can F Himself - originally on AMC, now on Netflix. Watch at least two episodes before you decide. It’s a very different kind of drama/sitcom.

That’s what came to my mind too! I was so pleasantly surprised by this one.

I’m watching the Norwegian drama Pernille on Netflix now. It’s about a late 40s divorced child welfare worker, her two kids, and her dad, who has newly come out. It is dubbed in English on Netflix.

I have similar taste as OP since I loved both This is Us and Parenthood.
