If you want to wear it, do it.
Life is too short to do what other people like. |
Thanks, DCUM. I think that’s the answer. I’m going to try some on.
I read somewhere that the second half of your life starts when you stop worrying about what other people think about your body in a bathing suit. I can’t confidently say I’m there yet, that tankini is not yet a distant memory!, but I’m going to try some on!! |
GFY. |
NO |
This. Someone said I was brave for wearing a bikini after giving birth. No. I was hot. Trying being a woman teacher in Kabul for brave. Or leaving an abusive bastard. |
No one is going to be looking at you or thinking about you. |
Wear the bikini |
Except your mother. Mine was unable to enjoy our beach trip because she was so distressed about my BMI 22 mom bod in a bikini "for all to see." "It isn't FLATTERING " |
I've always preferred bikinis, because one pieces don't fit. I have a long thin torso and small chest, and all the "pretty" one pieces sag in front. I don't want to wear a Speedo!
So bikini it is. The string bikinis with triangle top are the most adjustable ones. Love them. - 45 year old. |
I would have worn a thong just to annoy her even more. ![]() |
Wear what you want, OP. If you thought you couldnt pull it off, you wouldn't be asking.
Im early 50s, not overweight at all, and realized I haven't worn ANY swimsuit in 11 years (I think we did a beach vacation when my kids were 13 and 17). I would definitely go with a two piece (and not a tankini) if i found myself needing one. I never looked great in a swimsuit at any age or weight, tbh. Such is life. |
My bmi is 32. I wear whatever I want. Including two pieces. It’s so comfy and liberating. I get compliments on the suit - my body is not aesthetically wow but so what.
No one cares. Really! |
Agree. I hate having to have my whole torso wet if I take a dip then hang out at the pool |
OP you’re gonna look gross but whatever. No one cares. |
I don't wear a bikini because I don't want to deal with the extra sunscreen. |
