NCAP North

Is it still 120 days? For some reason I thought it was now shorter. I can’t seem to find it on USA swimming. Either way, does that apply to the transfer date or since the last competition date?

Found it on pages 69-70 of the 2025 rule book. Looks to now be 60 days unless I’m misreading.

We recently went through the transfer process. It was 60 days

Nope, a few practice groups in Rockville. Seems like an amicable split, because the new team is advertised right on the NCAP North team unify.

I think they practiced at Lakewood Country Club

Could someone explain what the 120 day/60 day/whatever day rule is?

If you switch teams in USA swimming, you can't score points or be on a relay for your new team for 60 days. So kids switching today couldn't do relays at LC champs (but barely any teams do them anyhow). They can compete at champs, but their points wouldn't count for the new team (but no one really tracks or cares about points).

If they switch in September, by the time December champs meets come, they're fine.

Ncap north practiced at Montgomery College in Germantown during the SC season.

Wonder who pushed for the split. Either way seems like they were not a popular site
