NCAP North

Looks like they have seceded from NCAP. What's the story?
Anonymous
Don’t know the reason, but it was a franchise like Burke and Alexandria. It seemed to be a pretty small site comparatively.
Anonymous
Yeah, never was a large NCAP contingent in MD.

They will not be missed.

This was always a very weak site.

The overhead to ncap outweighed the benefits

Please tell us more. Are we talking about the GP site?

Nope, a few practice groups in Rockville. Seems like an amicable split, because the new team is advertised right on the NCAP North team unify.

Question: If swimmers from North decide to move to another NCAP site, I assume that does not trigger the [120 day?] rule? Will the rule apply to swimmers who stay at this site and laterally join this renamed, new club?
Anonymous
Sounds like they got sick of paying the franchisee fee. How much did they pay NCAP corporate per year for branding rights?

Even if they have to swim unattached while they wait out the 120 days it is not a big deal. Points at club meets are stupid and only for the egos of a few coaches.

You wish. That is not happening. Keep ringing your hands, your wishes will not come true.

If they move to a different NCAP site it does not trigger the 120 day rule.
