I haven't seen this mentioned yet: I bring yogurt smoothies or yogurt pouches in an old insulated bottle bag with ice packs.
My 5 year old also loves apple slices. I find they don't brown if I put a damp paper towel on top of the apple slices before putting the lid on the container. |
| My kids loved frozen go-gurts, watermelon “sticks,” baggies of goldfish, mini roll up sandwiches (turkey and cheese, cream cheese and cucumber, sunflower butter and jelly). |
Yes, I wrote " mini"--cut into tiny squares. |
You bring mini lasagna to the pool? |
To go with their quinoa salad

| My entire family’s hands-down favorite is frozen grapes. Delicious and refreshing frozen, semi-frozen, or thawed. We always use that over any ice or ice packs. |
Why oh why did you post this? |
Do you really think cheese can spoil in a few hours of sunshine? All that will happen is that it melts. |
Small pieces of lasagna, air-fryer polenta, pasta “muffins,” roast veggies, baby carrots, cheese sticks, tons of fruit, rice cakes, etc. at seim meets, buy from concessions. |
Same. Much less other crap to carry! |
| We do hotdogs, put them in a bun, wrap in foil, they warm right up in the sun. |
| Definitely fresh fruit like everyone else said but our family favorite is I keep a bag of Oreo thins in the freezer in summer and throw them in the pool bag. We don’t limit sweets or anything so it’s not like a cookie is a rare treat but the frozen Oreo thins are ONLY a summer pool snack for some reason so my kids love them. Yes they have to be the thins, the regular ones will not get as crispy and cold. |
What is a pasta muffin? |
