| What snacks to do you like to bring to the pool? Kid is 5 and still picky but We’ve been taking watermelon, pretzels, cheese sticks and sandwiches. Would love some favorite snack ideas! |
|
*Pizza cut into tiny squares
*Ants on a log (celery w/ PB + raisins on top) *Cheese Sticks * Mint meatballs * Pigs in a blanket *Sliders *Nuts *Fruit Skewers *Chicken nuggets *Mini tea sandwiches * Mini lasagna squares |
| Our pool has a cafe and we just buy from there. |
|
Chips, cut up fruit, Nutella cookies.
Other than fruit anything healthy I take just comes home. Kid is 13. She eats healthy 90% of the time at home so I don’t stress about pool snacks. |

We focus on bringing fruit, water and some chips. Mainly because I don't want to pay $1.50 for multiple snack bags of chips when it's easier to bring our own. I normally let my kids get something at the snack bar and give them free reign ONCE at pool trip. Maybe twice if we are there for really long time.
But my kids are super crazy active at the pool. They will spend the entire 45 minutes swimming and playing, maybe 7 minutes of break eating their snack and then running around the playground before going back in the pool. The calorie burn is HIGH. |
You bring lasagna to the pool?!! |
|
Does she like sandwiches? I love hawaiian rolls!
- tuna on hawaiian rolls - peanut butter and jelly on hawaiian rolls - lunchmeat on hawaiian rolls - left over rotisserie chicken with italian dressing, on hawaiian rolls -literally anything on a hawaiian roll |
DP What's more shocking is what's not mentioned. That list is a deviled eggs short of a DCUM Holy Trinity. |
| Lots of people at ours bring fruit, strawberries or grapes, especially. |
|
- cheese cubes, babybels - healthy homemade nut & seed bars with dates - chicken salad sandwiches or egg salad sandwich - cucumber and tomato sandwiches - individual portions of finely chopped salad premixed with vinegar & oil or Olive Garden salad mix - individual portions of cut melons, cut cherries or any other fruit. - peanut brittles (homemade) - individual tetrapacks of coconut water, homemade kefir-mango lassi. |
| Dry mango, seaweed, tuna macaroni if dinner or lunch time. Tons of fruit. |
| Watermelon, grapes, clementines, raisins, nuts, peanut butter pretzel nuggets, larabar |
| Oh and I put freeze pops in a yeti thermos and dole those out. We keep a ton of the Costco organic ones |
Great idea! |
| We usually freeze some bottled water as ice pack in thermos bag, add popsicle, bottled water, also food need to keep fresh like fruit in the bag, will also bring chips & croissant/bread etc. we try not to bring cheese nor anything could easily spoil for food safety. |
