Team Reps - how many volunteer postions are you short for tomorrow's A meet

What league are you in that requires marshals?


NVSL


MCSL only requires them for USA Swimming sanctioned meets, of which there are only 2, all stars & coaches LC.


MCSL has sanctioned meets? The times are put into SWIMS?


Yes. The Coaches Long Course has done so for over 40 years. This also means that the officials are all USA-S certified.

Individual all stars is not sanctioned but it does use marshals. The deck at the Rockville pool is not particularly well separated from the spectator and team areas so it is helpful to have some designated volunteers for crowd control.

This kind of exclusionary attitude is why teams struggle to fill spots. Timing is one of the easiest jobs on deck
