Is Friday a half-day or just June 16 and 17th?

It was initially a half day.
Then when the added the first snow day (Monday) they changed it to a full day.
Then when they added the second snow day (Tuesday) they changed it back to a half day.

Gotta think hours instead of days. That is a better measurement, Maryland requires both 1080 hours AND 180 days. Next December will have two full days where many people won't come but they'll count towards both.
The problem is once snow cancelations and religious holidays come into play there isn't much room to fit 180 days with a full holiday break and a timely finish. Next year has neither, and if they don't use the in-year makeup days should their be 3 or more snow days, the school year could go from August 25/26 to June 22 or later.

MCPS just put out Facebook post reminding everyone that Tuesday is an early release day. Now parents are even more confused.

Our family calendar has Monday and Tuesday marked as Fake-A half days.

Why? It was announced a while ago as a snow day addition.

What so confusing??? Even the title of this thread tells you that Tuesday is a half-day.
