Love it! It seems that Alexandria is turning the page. Good for them! Good luck to these teams!

QoP is a new score created and calculated by MLS Next. So the Achilles U13 team played 32 games this season -- 3 wins, 1 tie, 28 losses. But their QoP ranking -- which was obviously better than their win/loss record -- got them a spot in the Premier level (2nd tier) of the MLS Next Cup. Who knows if the QoP rankings are valid?

Wow, if that is the case, it is very interesting. How is the QoP arranged? Is there an algorithm? Is it subjective? Winning teams qualify based on their records of course.

That’s been discussed in a prevous thread so might want to do a search as there were links posted to a few articles where they interviewed the people behind it. In a nutshell, the algorithm seems to be based in large part on individual quality of play (ball control, dribbling, passes, movement/placement, etc.) AND the ability of a team to connect and create plays.

Lets go ASA

Yet here they are. They’re also on the USMNT and a professional academy in Germany. You see, it’s a metric measuring player development.

“If you ain’t first, you’re last” doesn’t cut it in player development, Ricky Bobby.

The QoG is strong in this one.

Stomp your feet and hold your breath all you like, Richard Cranium, but they are ranked higher than 9 other teams in the mid-atlantic.

Maybe your son’s team needs a better coach?

Excited for the 2011 ASA team. They had two great games over the weekend. Saw some new faces playing in the backline and they did great.

I appreciate a club/team that uses its entire bench. Because at this stage, it’s about development. Our subs have definitely gotten a lot better and earned their playing time and teammates trust.

Wait, is this the same kids that lost 28 times? You gotta be kidding me.

I love this too. It really is about development up until 15-16 years old. The coaches that do not get it are not gonna get it no matter what you do and the ones that do get it develop talent and contribute to this beautiful game We all love.

you're seriously trying to justify talking like this about 11, 12, 13 year old kids?
