Waiting room- Why don't we talk to each other?

Anonymous
I'm a talker and couldn't stand the silence in the waiting room so if the wait was long (like on a weekend) I was usually the one to start up a conversation. I got mixed reactions from the other patients, some clearly didn't want to talk, but most seemed relieved to break the silence. Reaching out to people is always better than suffering in silence, but I never asked about specific treatment and kept the conversation light hearted. I ended up making a lifelong friend after bonding over our IF journey and eventual success.

My husband always started talking with other DH's in the waiting room when he came with me, I think it was his way of dealing with my hormonally challenging mood swings. It's a tough road for both partners.
