I'm a talker and couldn't stand the silence in the waiting room so if the wait was long (like on a weekend) I was usually the one to start up a conversation. I got mixed reactions from the other patients, some clearly didn't want to talk, but most seemed relieved to break the silence. Reaching out to people is always better than suffering in silence, but I never asked about specific treatment and kept the conversation light hearted. I ended up making a lifelong friend after bonding over our IF journey and eventual success.
