Pretty dress and afternoon tea

Sketch, Claridges, and the Dorchester are all great recommendations.

For a 14 year old? That stuff is dowdy AF.

DD10 and I did tea at the Ritz London back in April. It might be a cliche, but for good reason. There was thought put into every part of the experience, and the food/beverages were superb.

We stopped at Fortum & Mason afterwards for some boxes of tea, and a box of their famous Toffolossus biscuits. Holy crap those are amazing!!

I think Claridges for the ultimate traditional experience. They refill both teas and food so she can sample widely and eat more of the savory or sweet.
And the scene is incredible. Plus the dress code is relaxed. We saw beautiful people, beautifully dressed. But they also had no problem with us in the tourist clothing we started the morning with. Sketch is also great however their emphasis is change to the traditional. The point is lost if you've never experienced the traditional tea. I never went to the Dorchester but note a children's menu if she's not ready for the full on.

You can do a Ritz tea anywhere there's a Ritz. Not to say that's bad but not a London specific experience.

I was coming here to say the same thing. They make beautiful clothes for 40 year old women but a 14 year old???

I found the stores very international, so familiar.
May be pack something for the tea and if you're on Oxford street and she sees something that is great but with no pressure.

The Ritz of course.

The London Ritz is not the same as the Ritz Carlton chain.
There is only one London Ritz.

Claridges and Dorchester are both much better.

No in-person Cath Kidston stores any longer.

My teen liked Monsoon (but she is not a big shopper).
