He’s never physically coming after trans people, FFS Caitlin Jenner spoke at the RNC in trumps first election. He will go after their right whoever, their medical care and equal employment protections and military service and DEI.

He’s not going after gay people physically either, again FFFs his own secretary of treasury is an openly gay man married to a man. Gayness has become too mainstream for him to roll back a lot of what they have achieved, although gay marriage and adoption might be threatened.

He is absolutely 100% going after poor people though. Expect rates of incarceration and deportation of the poor and policies tantamount to legislative genocide to go way up.

Depending on how far along the transition is, kid should get a passport showing either birth or trans identity.
Either depends on finding a country to go to for the 10 year duration of passport. Country where they can establish residency, work, get medical care. They may have to pay. Then become a citizen.

I understand your fear and agree it could happen with the current administration. I would have her transfer to a colllege in Canada if she is willing.
