I hope I never hear the term "steelman argument" again in my lifetime.

He was explaining how it would clear out the dross and reset our economy, for the greater good. Chilling.

Yes, because all these foreign chuds are psychopath narcissists.

Watches twenty minutes of it and found it unwatchable as well.

Same. I tried but turned it off. Bad timing on this. Who wants to watch anything about a group of billionaires while the world is imploding.

I was ready to quit 30 minutes in but watched to the end and it did get funnier and more interesting. The last third was pretty good.

Not an uplifting movie though and left me feeling a little seedy for having watched.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. I loved it.

+1. There's a turning point after which it's much funnier/more involving.

OP here: I made it through about 65 minutes before I fell asleep on Sunday. I love Succession too, but the writing for this was just bad.

I know these guys are supposed to be insufferable narcissists, but there's a legion of young men who will watch Mountainhead and try to emulate the dumb antics. Sorta like how Gordon Gecko or Patrick Bateman became a hero to financial guys IRL.

Probably

So patronizing to the great historians and philosophers too.

You know they skimmed the cliff notes version or that stupid self-published Jash Dholani summary krap of the Greats that Luigi Mangione wanted to fund/ donate.

Puke on all those characters.

It was dark satire

It was meh for me. I didn’t think the writing or acting was good enough to carry it.
