Timing for Supreme Court?

Anyone have an opinion on how likely it is for Kagan to just deal with this petition herself without referring it to the entire Court?

Literally no one knows. If she says no they can still ask to be heard before the entire court.

She’ll refer to the full court and it will likely be stayed like the others. It would be great if it’s not, but so far they have stayed every personnel and administrative case, even the DOGE discovery cases.

How long will this take? Does stayed mean they enforce the rif, but that can be reversed later?

I’m sorry but there is no way to know. It depends on the type of stay ordered (if one is ordered) and what it predicts, if anything, about the merits. Plus, according to plaintiffs, at least 2 agencies are ignoring the injunction already.

Bumping this, since SCOTUS goes on recess after tomorrow. Do you think they will decide on this tomorrow? I’m not seeing it in the media.

I heard since this is on the shadow docket, they can rule anytime.

Fitting-just before the holiday. I wouldn’t be surprised.
