Good cool weather location for the summer

Park City, UT has lots to do in the summer. We have high school-aged kids who liked it last year. Lake Tahoe is also great.

Lake Tahoe in the summer is not cool. While it is not humid, the sun is very strong up there during the summer. We had a vacation house in Tahoe and went up there year round. Also, it's crazy crowded during the summer.

Montreal was perfect for our family last July. It's not guaranteed to be "cooler", but the weather was quite pleasant during our 5 day trip. Can't beat how close it is as well.

My family really enjoyed a combo Montreal and Quebec summer vacation years ago.

A highlight in Montreal was Cirque du Soleil's Big Top show.

We saw Luzia many years ago and just loved it. It is back in summer 2025. Highly recommend it!

That is a huge festival going on in Quebec in July (think 80,000 people). That is a turnoff to me.

Yes this is a top.notch "zero context" post. No mention of cost range, how many days exactly (short could be a week, could be 3 days), plus what you listed.

And yet many people somehow managed to provide helpful responses.

Are they smarter than you? Kinder? More motivated? 🤔

PEI or other Maritime provinces. Middle of Canada is on fire right now.

Of course there are resorts in areas with cool summer weather. Right off the top of my head:

Mohonk Mountain House-- in the Hudson River Valley in New Paltz, NY

The Samoset Resort in Rockport, ME

Delamar Traverse City in Traverse City, MI

There are resorts in VT, NH, ME, MI, WI, MT, WA, etc.

Just because you haven't done it, doesn't mean that it isn't " a thing."
