I thought so too. I remember reading about a lot of tension around the wedding with Victoria wanting to control things like the dresses, entertainment, etc. Like she was the star and hosting the event. If that's the case (and I can totally believe it may have been) it makes sense it would bother the DIL.

I don't follow this family, but would not be surprised. I mean, she's Posh Spice! Of course she has main character syndrome. Where on earth would she have learned to be humble. If the bride wanted total control of the wedding then she should have had it in her hometown and had her mom manage the whole shebang / run point on Victoria Beckham.

If she didn't stand up for herself at the time, then she doesn't get to pout about it for the rest of her life. A wedding is one day. A marriage should last most of a lifetime. Move on.

The wedding was at the bride's childhood home in Palm Beach, and it sounded like there were a whole bunch of people running interference and she did complain at the time. She put her foot down she would not be wearing a VB dress and I bet a bunch of other things. I think Vicki really overstepped here and having to constantly run interference to keep the mother of the groom in check is pretty crappy. Acknowledging a marriage is a lifetime and a wedding is a day, Victoria should have let one day not be about her. It's really not a good way to start off on the right foot with your new DIL.

I don't know if any of the rumors/stories are true but this just feels a lot like the early 2000s where two women in the same circle were always pitted against each other (Britney vs. Christina, Lindsay Lohan vs. Hillary Duff, etc.)
