Brett Easton Ellis, Donna Tartt

Isn't that Jamie Tartt? Heck of a soccer player but kind of a jerk at times.

Donna Tartt is extremely popular with the young millennials/older gen-z

As is Jamie Tartt. Probably more popular. I'm guessing you have no idea what I am referring to. GIYF.

Or maybe I'm not bringing up someone who has nothing to do with this thread...

Lighten up, Francis.

DF’s DD is a junior there. She’s smart, artistic, and a bit quirky. Bennington is a good fit for her. It’s atypical and happy to do its own thing, not unlike her.

Their faculty is known for being outstanding. A lot of working artists at or near the top of their respective games, but also able to teach and nurture the next generation of artists.

As for the endowment, it's true that lack of a $billion+ endowment puts the school in a more precarious place, but perhaps it's worth taking a moment to gently interrogate the idea that a school must also be a hedge fund in order to have educational value.

About a decade ago one of my kids wanted to include Bennington on their list. I flatly refused. I’m fine with quirky but academics come first and the academic profile of a typical Bennington student is pretty weak.

I have heard the name Donna Tartt

Someone is clearly not GenX.
