Why would US parents be panicked?

DP. I am guessing that PP is referring to parents of newly-admitted internationals in the parent FB group.

Trump will be blocked.

Even if the courts block this technically, games can still be played with restricting visas.

I agree - restricting student visas is absolutely within the authority of the state department.
I expect the backlog to be burdensome.

Why would that parent be in that FB group of newly-admitted international student parents? Are you assuming they are international?

Yes, this.

But, plenty of reasons for US parents to be panicked right now, although not what I was referring to with my comment.

I was referring to university parent FB groups that include the parents of all students, not just internationals.

Holy cow, why was this so difficult. I’m in a group for parents of said school, included in that group are internationals who are also parents of said school.

I would think those international families would likely stay quiet, especially on social media. Don't do anything that would raise attention and perhaps hurt any chance their student has of getting a visa.

Not normally. Lots of posts whether it’s safe to leave back in December. Easiest place to confer and hear from others in similar position on what they’re thinking and doing.

Our school was recommending international students stay in the country back in December.

Will these ivies be forced to reopen their WLs? Its almost June...

There is no issue with the visas for this year. Harvard got a TRO as will everyone. For the next year there could be an issue.

They will not. Too low level for their to be games. Not the way it works at all. If there were games they would be in contempt of the Judge's order. Low level people not doing this.

He changes his mind frequently, just a squirrel running across the sidewalk sends him into a distracted change. With that in mind, no one will be making changes to their plans. Colleges will stick to their incoming student body, and students to their plan.

+1

It’s not going to happen.

Just like so much of the stuff Elon tried to do with DOGE.
